Investigación en Dirección de Organizaciones: La Idea de Acción y Cognición en Perspectiva

Resumo


Para asegurar su sustentabilidad, las organizaciones intentan dirigir su accionar de manera de dar cuenta de los requerimientos de su entorno. En un intento por asegurar la consecución de los fines organizacionales que sirvan de orientación hacia los requerimientos del entorno, las organizaciones contemporáneas despliegan sus recursos alrededor de actividades especializadas a través de toda la organización, que son una manera específica de disponer de recursos, particularmente especializados y coordinados. En este panorama, la investigación del funcionamiento cognitivo que acompaña al comportamiento se nos ofrece como un marco de reflexión propicio para aproximarnos a una mejor comprensión de la acción directiva en la práctica. Al respecto, la cognición humana puede ser entendida un aspecto fundamental de la acción que observamos en los directivos, pues puede ser vista como uno de los fundamentos desde el cual se organiza el comportamiento que se despliega en el entorno, adquiriendo un particular significado. En este panorama, este trabajo intenta revisar desde una perspectiva crítica las premisas teóricas y metodológicas operantes a la hora de entender la acción de dirigir actividades organizacionales.
